Pay Per Click
Google Ad Grants Management That Keeps the Grant Running.
The grant account went quiet months ago. Clicks slipped under Google’s floor, nobody set up conversion tracking, and most keywords were the organization’s own name. Now the ads sit paused and nobody on staff knows why. We set up, repair, and manage Ad Grants accounts so supporters and people needing help find you.
- The grant is Google’s. Google decides eligibility through Google for Nonprofits, and the ad spend comes from the grant, not from your budget.
- Click-through rate is the rule that quietly ends grant accounts. Two consecutive months below 5% and Google temporarily deactivates the account.
- Accounts created since April 2019 need at least one conversion a month, so tracking a real action, like a donation, a volunteer signup, or a request for help, is required.
- Keywords should match what people type when they need help or want to give, not the organization’s name or the internal title of a program.
What keeps the phone quiet
Why most Ad Grants accounts stop running.
Deactivated, and nobody noticed
The click-through rate drifted below 5% in the spring and stayed there. Two months later Google switched the account off. The volunteer who set it up had moved on, so the first sign was a board member asking why the ads disappeared.
Tracking that tracks nothing
Conversion tracking was never set up, or it points at a thank-you page nobody reaches. The account cannot show a single donation, signup, or call for help, and Google’s rules expect conversions to be recorded every month.
Ads for people who were never coming
Campaigns bid on the organization’s name, on vague words like charity, and on the whole country for a program that serves one community. The grant gets spent on clicks that could never become a volunteer, a gift, or a family helped.
“Clint has been a TRUE BLESSING!!! He has tirelessly achieved what others could not! Looking forward to continuing to work together from here on out. If you need any website assistance / development / maintenance...do not hesitate to give him a call - you will not be disappointed!!!”
What you get
Built to book the job.
Google for Nonprofits and account setup
We walk you through Google for Nonprofits and set up the Ad Grants account in the organization’s name, with logins your staff and board control, not a volunteer’s personal email.
Keywords people actually type
Two sets of campaigns: one for people looking for the help you offer, in their own words, and one for people looking to volunteer, give, or attend. Names and jargon stay out.
Click-through rate kept above the line
A monthly review of every campaign against the 5% rule. Keywords and ads that drag the rate down get rewritten or paused before they put the account at risk.
Conversion tracking on real actions
Donations, volunteer signups, calls, and requests for help tracked as conversions, so the account meets Google’s rules and the board sees what the grant produced. Follow-up with Grow for Nonprofits
Bidding and location settings by the rules
An automated bid strategy on every campaign, such as Maximize conversions or Target CPA, and location targeting drawn around where your services are actually useful.
Pages the ads can land on
An ad is only as good as the page behind it. If the program page cannot answer who qualifies or take a gift on a phone, we fix that first. Nonprofit web design

The short answer
Google Ad Grants gives qualifying nonprofits access to up to $10,000 a month in search ads shown on Google.com. Keeping it means following Google’s rules: a 5% click-through rate each month, conversion tracking, an automated bid strategy on every campaign, and location targeting that fits where your services are useful. We help you through Google for Nonprofits, build campaigns around what people actually search, and manage it at normal or reduced rates, sometimes pro bono.
