Web Design & Development

Contractor Website Design That Wins the Bid.

A homeowner got your name from a neighbor and opens your site to check you out. They scroll forty uncaptioned photos looking for a kitchen like theirs, then quit your nine-field quote form. The contractor with sorted projects gets the call. We build galleries by job type and town, and three-field quote forms.

  • Homeowners check the website after the referral. If it looks like every other contractor’s site, the referral goes cold.
  • Project galleries organized by job type and town do more for a contractor than any paragraph of copy.
  • Remodels, additions, and new builds are researched for weeks. Pages that answer the research questions catch the bid.
  • A homeowner asking for an estimate and a builder inviting you to bid are different leads. Each one needs its own short form.

What keeps the phone quiet

Why most contractor websites don’t win bids.

A gallery with no story

Forty photos in a grid with no captions, no job type, no town. The homeowner cannot find the one project like theirs, so they leave. Galleries need to be sorted the way people search: kitchens, additions, roofs, by city.

One page for every trade you do

“General Contracting Services” is a page trying to rank for remodels, additions, roofing, and commercial at once. Each is its own search. Google ranks the competitor with a dedicated page for each.

A quote form nobody finishes

Nine fields, a file upload, and a captcha. People start it on a phone and give up. A contractor quote form needs a name, a phone, and what the job is. The details come on the call.

“Look no further if you are looking for a badass company for your website and SEO needs. This is a business that will excel your expectations. Suppose you don't believe me; check out Red White & Badass Brew page. Super stoked to have them on my side. Keep up the great work, guys.”

What you get

Built to book the job.

A page for every service

Remodels, additions, new construction, roofing, commercial build-outs, whatever you actually sell. Each written to rank for its own searches. That holds for a general contractor running the whole job and for a single trade. Websites for construction companies

Project galleries that sell

Real photos of your work, sorted by job type and town, with a line about the job. Before and after pairs where you have them, because the before photo is what the homeowner is living with right now.

City pages from your job history

One page per town you work in, written from the projects you have done there. Not a template.

The 60 seconds after they click

With Grow Pro, every form and call gets a text back within seconds, missed calls get a text, bookings happen online, and every lead sits in one pipeline with Facebook and Instagram messages beside it. A website alone does nothing in that minute. This does. Part of Grow

Reviews on the page

Google reviews pulled onto the service pages they belong to, with schema so the stars can show in search.

A quote form people finish

Three fields on a phone, tracked to the page it came from, landing in your CRM with a text-back so nobody waits. Part of Grow

Licensed, bonded, insured, in plain sight

Your license number, your bond, and your insurance, stated where a homeowner looks before calling: the header, the footer, and beside every form. A general contractor vetting you as a subcontractor finds the same details without having to ask.

Estimate requests and bid invitations, kept apart

A free estimate for a homeowner and an invitation to bid from a builder are two different conversations. Each gets its own short form, so you know which one you are calling back before you dial. Websites for general contractors

No spam, no pressure. Fixed quotes before we start.

The short answer

A contractor’s website gets checked after the referral and before the call. We build contractor websites that pass that check: real project photos organized by job type, a page for every service and every city you work in, your reviews on the page, and a quote form short enough that people finish it. Fixed quote before we start. The site is yours when it is done.

Common questions about web design & development for contractors

How much does a contractor website cost?
Builds are priced per project, in writing after a 15-minute call, good for 30 days. Grow Pro is the more affordable way to own one: no build fee, and a monthly plan covers the site and follow-up system. Or take the one-time build with month-to-month hosting, or the 12-month website-and-marketing plan. About six weeks from deposit to live.
What should a contractor website include?
A page for every service you sell, a project gallery sorted by job type, the cities you work in, your reviews, your license, bond, and insurance details, and an estimate form short enough to finish on a phone. If you offer financing, give it a page that explains how it works. Everything else is decoration.
Do project photos really matter that much?
For a contractor they matter more than the copy. The homeowner has already been referred; they are checking whether your work looks like what they want. A sorted gallery with one line per job answers that in seconds, and organized by job type and town it does more than any paragraph.
Can one website cover residential and commercial work?
Yes, as long as each has its own pages. A commercial build-out and a kitchen remodel are different searches from different buyers. We separate them so each ranks for its own terms and speaks to its own customer, and each gets its own short form, because an estimate request and a bid invitation are different leads.
How long until the site brings in bids?
Service and city pages usually start ranking within a few weeks of launch once Google indexes them. Remodel and addition pages, where people research longer, build over a few months as reviews and projects are added. Pages that answer those research questions are the ones that catch the bid.
Should a contractor website show license, bond, and insurance details?
Yes, and not buried on an About page. Licensed, bonded, and insured is the first thing a homeowner checks before letting anyone work on the house, and the first thing a general contractor checks before hiring a sub. We put the license number and the bond and insurance statement in the footer and beside the forms, in your wording.
Can the website help me hire crew and line up subcontractors?
It can. A careers page that says what the work is, what you expect, and how to apply gives crew a reason to pick you, and a short subcontractor form collects trade, license, and insurance in one place. Both land in the same inbox as your leads, tagged so they do not get mixed up.
