Google Business Profile

A Cleaning Company Google Business Profile That Earns the Call.

Many cleaning companies work from home, and the profile ends up showing the owner’s address, one category and a logo. A homeowner scanning the map sees nothing about what you clean or where, and taps the listing that says. We set up the service area, services and photos so they tap yours.

  • Many cleaning companies are service-area businesses. If clients never come to your address, Google’s guidelines say to hide it and list the area you serve instead.
  • House cleaning, janitorial work and carpet cleaning can sit under different categories. The primary category should match the work you most want, checked against Google’s current list at setup.
  • Every service you sell, from deep cleans to move-outs to floor care, entered on its own gives Google something to match beyond the word cleaning.
  • Google no longer offers the questions and answers feature on Business Profiles, so questions about supplies, pets and pricing belong in your description and the FAQ on your website.

What keeps the phone quiet

Why a good cleaner can be missing from the map.

A home address on display

The owner set up the profile from the kitchen table and the house address shows on the map. Clients never come there, and showing it breaks Google’s guidelines and can put the listing at risk.

One category, no services

The profile says cleaning and stops. A homeowner searching for a move-out clean or an office manager searching for janitorial service sees nothing that says you do that work.

A service area that is just a pin

The area is the home town, or a huge sweep set up when the business started. Neither matches where the crews actually drive, so the company shows in the wrong places and not in the right ones.

“Working with Clint is an absolute delight! He is very knowledgable, a great communicator, has wonderful and creative ideas, and is so easy to collaborate with. 10/10 would recommend working with BlakSheep Creative!!”

What you get

Built to book the job.

Categories checked at setup

Your primary category set to the closest match in Google’s current list for the work you most want, confirmed on the day we do it, with secondaries only for services you really sell, such as carpet or window cleaning.

A service area that matches the routes

The towns and areas your crews really cover, set as the service area, with a home address hidden when clients never visit it, so the profile follows Google’s guidelines for businesses that travel to the customer.

Every service listed

Standard and deep cleans, recurring service, move-in and move-out, office and janitorial, floor care, carpet and upholstery, whatever you sell, each entered as its own service with a short plain description.

Details that match everywhere

The same name, phone and website on the profile, your site and the major directories, plus hours for when calls and quotes are answered, so Google sees one company with one answer.

Photos of the crew at work

Your team in uniform with their permission, the vans, the equipment and before-and-after shots from real jobs with the client’s okay, added on a schedule, plus posts about seasonal work such as move-out season or holiday deep cleans.

Reviews from every client

Profile fixes can move quickly; reviews build over months. The request goes to every client, while the result is fresh. Collecting and answering reviews is its own job. Reputation management for cleaning companies

The short answer

A cleaning company Google Business Profile decides whether you appear in the map when someone nearby searches for house cleaning, maid service or janitorial work. We confirm your categories against Google’s current list, set a service area that matches where your crews really go, hide a home address when clients never visit it, list each service, and add photos of your crew at work.

Common questions about google business profile for cleaning companies

What Google category should a cleaning company use?
The closest match to the work you most want, from Google’s current list, which we check at setup because it changes. A residential maid service, a janitorial company and a carpet cleaner need different setups. Secondary categories go on only for services you really sell, never just to appear in more searches.
Should we show our address if we work from home?
No, if clients never come there. Google treats a cleaning company that travels to its clients as a service-area business: the address stays hidden and the towns you serve are listed instead. Showing a home address as if it were an office breaks Google’s guidelines and can get the listing suspended.
Can we have separate profiles for residential and commercial cleaning?
Usually not. Google expects one profile per business, and splitting one company into two listings to show up twice breaks its guidelines. Put residential and commercial services on the same profile, and let your website carry separate pages for each buyer. If they really are separate businesses, we look at it case by case.
Where do questions about supplies, pets and pricing go?
In your description, your service list and your website FAQ. Google retired the questions and answers feature on Business Profiles, so it is not something we offer. Whether you bring supplies, how pets are handled, what a first clean costs and how keys work should sit where clients and Google can both read them.
What photos should a cleaning company add?
Your crew, with their permission, in uniform and at work, the vans with your logo, the equipment you bring, and before-and-after shots from real kitchens, baths and offices, with the client’s okay. Add new ones regularly. Real photos tell a client who will be walking into their home or building.
How fast does profile work show up?
Fixes to categories, services and the service area often show within a few weeks. Reviews take months, and no one controls where a searcher happens to be standing. That is why the review request starts the same week as the profile work, so the listing keeps getting stronger instead of stalling.
