Reputation Management

Reputation Management for Cleaning Companies That Earns the Key.

Clients rarely review a spotless kitchen, but a missed baseboard or a late crew gets written up the same evening. Strangers deciding who gets a key to their home read those first. We ask every client for a review, answer every review in your voice and turn a complaint into a return visit.

  • People hiring a cleaner read reviews for trust before price: whether the same crew shows up, whether the home was treated with care, and whether the company fixed a missed spot.
  • Recurring clients are the easiest reviews to earn and the easiest to forget. Asking every client on a steady rhythm keeps reviews recent; asking only the happy ones breaks Google’s policies.
  • A calm reply to a complaint, with an offer to come back and fix it, tells the next reader more than the complaint does.
  • Discounts for reviews are out: Google’s policies forbid incentives, and the FTC rule in force since October 2024 bans fake reviews and rewards tied to positive ones.

What keeps the phone quiet

Why a careful cleaning company can read as careless.

Great cleans go unwritten

The crew left the house spotless and the client was at work the whole time. Nobody asked for a review, so the visit that should have been on the profile never made it there.

The missed-spot review

One room was rushed on a long day, and the client posted about it that night. With no reply, every homeowner reading it assumes that is how every visit goes.

Trust complaints with no answer

A client could not find an item after a clean and posted before calling the office. The item turned up the next day, but the review still sits there without a reply, and it is the first thing a new client reads.

“Clint at BlakSheep Creative is incredible! His proactiveness and service are such a rarity in his business category! I can't wait to see how his business and mine both grow in 2021!”

What you get

Built to book the job.

A request for every client

A text with a one-tap link to your Google review box, sent when a one-time clean is marked done and on a set rhythm for recurring clients. With Grow it goes out on its own, not when someone in the office remembers between calls. Grow for cleaning companies

Problems reach the office first

The same message asks how the clean went. Anyone who mentions a missed room or a late crew hears from the office that day. Every client still gets the link; picking who is asked would break Google’s policies.

Every review answered

A short thank you in your voice for a good one that names the work in general terms, such as a move-out clean or a weekly visit, and a calm, specific answer for a bad one, without client details.

Missed-spot and trust complaints handled honestly

A reply that apologizes for what was missed and offers a return visit, or that explains in general terms how the company handles a report of a missing item. If the crew got it wrong, the reply says so.

Policy reports, not removals

Fake reviews, posts from someone who was never a client and reviews meant for a different cleaning company are reported with the specific Google policy cited. Google decides. A genuine complaint stays up and gets a reply.

Reviews on your site, marked up honestly

Your best reviews placed on the pages they describe, such as a move-out review on the move-out page and an office review on the commercial page, with review markup only where those reviews are visible.

The listing behind the stars

Reviews show on your Business Profile, and the categories, service area and photos that decide whether you appear in the map at all are a separate job. Google Business Profile for cleaning companies

The short answer

Reputation management for cleaning companies is earning and answering the reviews people read before they let a crew into their home or building. We ask every client for a review on a steady rhythm, reply to every review in your voice, answer missed-spot and scheduling complaints with an offer to make it right, report only reviews that break Google’s policies, and place real reviews on your site.

Common questions about reputation management for cleaning companies

When should a cleaning company ask for a review?
Right after a one-time clean, while the client is walking into a fresh kitchen. A text with a one-tap link works better than a note on the counter. For recurring clients, ask after the first visit and again every few months, so every client is asked without being asked every week.
How should we reply to a review about a missed spot?
Calmly and for the next reader. Thank them, apologize for what was missed without arguing about it, and offer to send the crew back to fix it. Invite them to call the office. If it was a pattern, say what changes. A prompt, fair reply often reassures a new client more than a perfect rating.
What if a review says something went missing?
Reply briefly and calmly, say you take it seriously and ask them to contact the owner directly, without sharing details or arguing in public. Then handle it offline. If the item turns up or the claim is resolved, the client may choose to update the review; we never pressure them to.
Can we offer a discount on the next clean for a review?
No. Google’s policies do not allow incentives for reviews, and the FTC rule in force since October 2024 bans rewards conditioned on positive reviews and bans fake reviews outright. Ask every client with no strings attached, make it a single tap, and let honest reviews build the rating.
Can you get a bad review removed?
Only when it breaks Google’s policies, such as a fake review, one from someone who was never a client, or one about a different company. We report those with the policy cited, and Google makes the call. A genuine complaint stays up, so the reply is the part you control.
Can we send the review link only to happy clients?
No. Sending it only to clients who said they were satisfied is review gating, and Google’s policies prohibit it. Ask everyone. The same message can ask how the clean went, so the office hears about a problem first and can fix it, but every client still gets the link.
