Google Business Profile

A Home Inspector Google Business Profile That Gets Booked First.

Even with a referral, most buyers look the inspector up before booking. They see a map pin, a star rating and a few photos. If your profile shows old reviews, no services and no way to book, the other name on the agent’s list looks safer. We build a profile that closes that gap.

  • The profile is a second opinion on every referral. A buyer who got your name from an agent checks it before booking.
  • Most inspectors have no office clients visit, so the profile is set up as a service-area business with the towns you cover, not a street address.
  • Buyer’s, pre-listing and new construction inspections and each add-on are separate searches. Each listed service gives Google one more thing to match.
  • Google has retired questions and answers on profiles, so what buyers ask about price, timing and reports belongs in your description and on your website.

What keeps the phone quiet

Why the other inspector on the list looks safer.

A pin with nothing behind it

The profile has a name, a phone number and a category. No services, no description, no booking link. A buyer comparing two names in a hurry picks the one whose profile shows what is included and how to book.

A home address on the map

The listing shows the inspector’s house as if clients drop by. It looks odd to buyers, and showing an address no customer visits breaks Google’s guidelines and puts the listing at risk.

Photos of a logo, not an inspection

The only image is a logo. Buyers want to see who is coming to the house: you on a roof, in an attic, with the tools you use. The inspector beside you in the results shows exactly that.

“These guys design beautiful websites and will work hand in hand with you through the entire process , they go over and above Highly recommend!!!”

What you get

Built to book the job.

Categories confirmed the day we set up

We choose your primary category from Google’s list as it stands on setup day, since the list changes, and add secondaries only for work you genuinely do, never as a way to catch extra searches.

Every inspection and add-on named

Buyer’s inspections, pre-listing, new construction and warranty visits, plus each add-on you perform, entered one by one with a short, plain explanation of what is covered.

A service area that matches how you work

The towns and areas you really travel to set as your service area, with your home address hidden when clients never visit it, following Google’s guidelines for businesses that go to the customer.

Booking linked from the profile

Your booking or quote page linked where buyers tap, with the same name, phone and hours on your website and the main directories, so a buyer on a deadline can book without a phone call.

Photos of you at work

You or each inspector on the job, the tools you bring, a clean page from a sample report with client details removed, and a vehicle buyers will recognize in the driveway, added on a schedule, plus posts about seasonal checks.

Reviews asked for after the report

Profile fixes can move quickly; reviews build over months. The ask goes out when the report is delivered. Collecting and answering reviews is its own job. Reputation management for home inspectors

Every profile call answered

Calls from the profile ring while you are under a house. Grow texts each one back and collects the address and deadline. Grow for home inspectors

The short answer

A home inspector Google Business Profile is what buyers check after an agent gives them names, and what they see when they search for an inspector near them. We confirm your categories against Google’s current list, list each inspection and add-on as a service, set up a service area for the towns you cover, link your booking page, and add photos of you at work.

Common questions about google business profile for home inspectors

What Google category should a home inspector use?
The closest match to your main work from Google’s current list, which we check at setup because it changes. An inspector who also does commercial work or specialty testing may need a secondary category, but only for work you really do. Extra categories for searches you want are not worth the risk.
Should a home inspector show an address?
Usually not. If clients never come to your address, Google treats you as a service-area business: the address stays hidden and the towns you cover are listed instead. Showing a home address as if it were an office breaks Google’s guidelines and can get the listing suspended.
Can buyers book an inspection from the profile?
Yes, through a link to your booking or quote page. A buyer on a short inspection window can tap it, see a price or open times and book without waiting for a callback. We set the link up and make sure it lands on the page that does the booking.
Should we list add-on services on the profile?
Yes, every one you really perform. Buyers search for add-ons such as sewer scopes or pool inspections on their own, and a named service gives Google something to match. Leave off anything you refer out or rarely do, because the buyer who books for it will expect it.
Can buyers still ask questions on our profile?
No. Google has discontinued the questions and answers feature on Business Profiles, so we do not offer it. Questions about price, how long an inspection takes and when the report arrives go in your description, your services and the FAQ on your website, where buyers and Google can find them.
How fast does profile work show up?
Service, service area and category fixes can change where you appear within a few weeks. Reviews build more slowly, and nobody controls how far a buyer is from you. Starting the review ask after every report the same week is what keeps the profile getting stronger over the busy season.
