Google Business Profile

An Outdoor Power Equipment Dealer Google Business Profile That Brings In Repairs.

A trimmer quits halfway through the yard, and its owner searches for repair near them. Your listing shows sales but no service, no brands and hours that changed two seasons ago, so they drive to a shop that looks open and ready. We set up the profile so repairs and buyers find you.

  • Most local equipment and repair searches are answered by the map before any website, so the profile is the front door for both buyers and repair customers.
  • Sales, service and parts are separate searches. Listing repairs, sharpening, storage and parts as services gives Google something to match beyond equipment sales.
  • Seasonal hours confuse customers. Spring Saturdays, winter closures and holiday hours that differ between the profile and the website send people to a store that is clearly open.
  • Google no longer offers the questions and answers feature on Business Profiles, so questions about turnaround, pickup and the brands you service belong in your description and website FAQ.

What keeps the phone quiet

Why the big box store gets the map click.

Sales listed, service missing

The profile reads as a store that sells mowers. Nothing says you repair them, sharpen blades or keep parts on hand, so a homeowner with a broken machine taps the repair shop whose listing says so.

Hours from another season

The listing still shows winter hours in April, or says nothing about Saturdays in the rush. A crew owner who drives over on a weekend and finds a locked gate does not try twice.

No photos of the shop

A logo and a stock picture of a mower. Customers want to see the showroom floor, the service bay and the people who will work on their equipment. The listing beside yours shows all of it.

“BlackSheepnCreative is a joy to work with. Clint gets to know what his customers vision is then brings it to life with exceptional graphic designs. Five stars!”

What you get

Built to book the job.

Categories checked at setup

We pick the primary category from Google’s current list on the day of setup, choosing the closest fit for a store that sells and services equipment, and add secondary ones only where your shop truly does that work.

Sales, service and parts listed one by one

Mower and zero-turn sales, handheld equipment, generators, tune-ups, blade sharpening, warranty repair, winter storage, pickup and delivery, and parts, each entered as its own service with a plain description.

The brands you sell and service, named

The makers you are a dealer for, and any you repair but do not sell, named in your services and description so a search for that brand finds you. Never a brand you do not handle.

Seasonal hours that match the store

Regular hours, spring and winter changes, holiday hours set ahead of time, and the same name, phone and address on the major directories, so Google and the customer see one answer.

Photos and posts through the season

The storefront, showroom, service bay, parts counter and team, with their permission, added on a schedule, plus posts about tune-up windows, new models and sales. Turnaround and pickup questions go in your description and website FAQ, since Google retired the questions feature.

Reviews after every ticket and sale

Fixing the profile is quick work, but a strong rating takes months of asking. The request goes out when a repair is picked up or a new machine goes home. Collecting and answering reviews is its own job. Reputation management for outdoor power equipment dealers

A website that backs up the listing

The profile sends people to your site, so the site needs the same services, hours and brands, plus repair and parts request forms that work from a phone. Outdoor power equipment dealer website design

The short answer

An outdoor power equipment dealer Google Business Profile decides whether you appear in the map when someone searches for mower repair, a chainsaw dealer or a parts counter nearby. We confirm your categories against Google’s current list, list each service from tune-ups to warranty repair, name the brands you carry, set seasonal hours that match your website, and add photos of your showroom and service bay.

Common questions about google business profile for outdoor power equipment dealers

What Google category should an outdoor power equipment dealer use?
The closest match to your main business from Google’s current list, which we check at setup because the list changes. A store that mostly sells equipment and one that mostly repairs it need different setups. Secondary categories go on only for work your shop really does, such as repairs or rentals.
Should we list the brands we sell and service?
Yes, the ones you are a dealer for and the ones your techs repair. Owners often search for a brand plus repair, and naming it in your services and description gives Google a match. Never list a brand you do not handle, because the customer who brings one in will notice.
How should we set hours for a seasonal business?
Set regular hours to what the store does most of the year, then update them ahead of each change: longer spring days, a Saturday schedule, winter closures and holidays. Google lets you set special hours in advance. Matching hours on the website and the profile keeps customers from driving to a closed door.
Can customers still ask questions on our profile?
No. Google has discontinued the questions and answers feature on Business Profiles, so we do not offer it. Questions about repair turnaround, pickup and delivery, parts and the brands you service go in your description, your services and the FAQ on your website, where customers and Google can find them.
What photos should a dealer add?
The storefront so people recognize it, the showroom floor, the service bay, the parts counter, the delivery trailer if you have one, and the people who do the work, with their permission. Add new ones through the season. Real photos show a customer the store is open, stocked and staffed by people who fix things.
How fast does profile work show up?
Category, service and hours fixes can change where you appear within a few weeks. Reviews build more slowly, and nobody controls how far a customer is from your store. Doing the fixes before spring, and starting the review ask the same week, puts the profile in shape before the rush.
Can each of our locations have a profile?
Yes. Each store with its own staffed address and signage can have its own profile, with its own hours, services and photos. A warehouse or a parts drop-off point with no staff during opening hours does not qualify under Google’s guidelines. Each location also needs its own page on your website.
