Google Business Profile

A Car Detailing Google Business Profile That Wins the Map.

A back seat full of dog hair sends a driver to the map to tap the first detailer with photos. Yours shows a home address you never work from, a single service called detailing, and no pictures of finished cars. Another detailer gets the booking. We rebuild the profile so you get it.

  • Car detailing near me draws 12,100 searches a month in the US (SE Ranking), and that is a map pack search. The profile, not the website, is what most of those people see first.
  • A mobile detailer with no shop customers visit is a service-area business. Hide the address and list the towns you drive to, or Google sends people to your driveway.
  • Ceramic coating, paint correction and interior detailing each belong on the profile as a separate service. A single line that says detailing tells Google and the customer almost nothing.

What keeps the phone quiet

Why the detailer with fewer skills gets the call.

The wrong kind of listing

A mobile detailer set the profile up with a home address because the form asked for one. Now the map shows a pin on a residential street, customers wonder where to bring the car, and the listing may not reach the towns you actually drive to.

One service, no prices, no packages

The profile lists detailing and nothing else. Someone searching for ceramic coating or headliner cleaning sees no sign you do it, while the competitor who listed every package by name looks like the specialist.

No photos of the work

Detailing sells on what the car looks like afterward, and the profile has a logo and a blurry van shot. The listing next to yours has a scroll of glossy hoods and spotless carpets, and that is the one people tap.

“I wish we would have switched sooner. Advanced Office Care was forced to switch services when the big corporate giant we were using decided to discontinue those services. Not only did BlackSheep make the transition easy, Clint and his team also offers more for your money.”

What you get

Built to book the job.

Shop or service area, set correctly

A shop customers visit shows its address. A mobile operation that only goes to the customer is set up as a service-area business with the address hidden and the towns in your radius listed. A detailer who does both gets the address plus the service area.

A category checked at setup

The primary category confirmed against what Google offers on the day we set it, since that list changes, with secondaries only for work you really do. A padded category list muddies the signal instead of helping.

Every package and add-on listed

Exterior wash and wax, interior detailing, paint correction, ceramic coating, headlight restoration and whatever else you sell, each entered as its own service with a plain description, so a search for one job can find you.

Before and after photos on a schedule

Your own shots of cars you finished, taken in good light from the same angle before and after, uploaded every month. No stock images, no photos lifted from a product supplier, and plates blurred where the owner prefers.

Posts and answered questions

Short posts showing recent jobs and seasonal work, with the answers customers want before they book (how long a detail takes, whether you need water or power on site, how pricing changes by vehicle size) in the business description and on your website FAQ.

Reviews started the same week

Profile fixes move quickly. Review count and recency build over months, so the request after every job starts right away. Collecting and answering reviews is its own job. Reputation management for car detailing

How it works

Fixed quote. Fixed timeline. Yours when it’s done.

  1. 01

    15-minute call

Whether customers come to you, you go to them, or both; the towns you cover; the packages you sell; and who can log in to the profile today.

  2. 02

    Audit

Listing type, category, services, photos, hours, phone, directory listings, and which detailers show in the map for the searches you want.

  3. 03

    Price in writing

The setup is quoted once as a project. Ongoing profile work is part of the 12-month website and marketing plan, so it is never a separate surprise.

  4. 04

Fix it, then keep it fresh

Listing type, category and services first, then new photos, posts and answers each month, with a short monthly readout of calls, direction requests and website clicks from the profile.

  • “Shoutout to our IT wizard for fixing our work email and saving us all from a slow descent into chaos, carrier pigeons, and “did you get my message?” debates. He calmly swooped in, pushed some mysterious buttons only he understands, and—like magic—emails started working again. No dramatic sighs. No eye-rolling (at least not where we could see it). Just quiet competence and the subtle confidence of someone who knows we would’ve absolutely made it worse if we tried ourselves. Emails are flowing. Productivity is restored. Sanity levels have stabilized.”

The short answer

Your car detailing Google Business Profile decides whether you show up in the map when someone nearby searches for a detailer. We set it up as a shop with an address or as a service-area business for mobile work, confirm the category against Google’s current list, list each package and add-on as its own service, add your own before and after photos, post finished work, and start a review routine.

Common questions about google business profile for car detailing companies

Should a mobile detailer show an address on Google?
Not if customers never come to it. Google’s guidelines say a business that serves people at their location should hide the address and set a service area instead. List the towns you actually drive to. If you also run a shop where people drop off cars, show that address and add the service area beside it.
What Google category should a car detailer use?
The closest match in Google’s category list on the day the profile is set up. That list changes, so we check it rather than repeat an old answer. Add secondary categories only for work you really do. A long list of loosely related categories weakens the profile more than it helps.
Do we really need to list every service separately?
Yes. Someone searching for ceramic coating or paint correction is looking for that job, and a profile that lists only detailing gives Google nothing to match. Each package and add-on as its own service, with a short description, also answers questions before the customer has to call.
What photos work best on a detailing profile?
Before and after pairs of cars you actually did, shot from the same angle in good light: paint, wheels, seats, carpets, engine bays. Add your rig or your bay and your crew at work. Skip stock images. People choose a detailer by looking at the work, so fresh photos every month matter.
Do Google posts do anything for a detailer?
They keep the profile looking active and give you a place to show a recent job, a seasonal special or a new service. They are not a ranking shortcut. A post that shows a finished car and says what was done is worth more than a generic promotion.
How long before profile work shows in the map?
Fixes to the listing type, category, services and completeness can show within a few weeks. Reviews build over months, and how far the searcher is from you is outside anyone’s control. That is why the review routine starts the same week as the profile fixes.
