Social Media Marketing

Social Media Marketing in Geismar, LA for Plant Vendors.

A procurement lead looks up your company before adding you to a bid list and finds a LinkedIn page with a logo and nothing else. Your competitor shows crews, certifications, and a turnaround finished last month. We build the Geismar vendor presence that buyers and new hires expect to see.

  • In a business to business corridor, the audience is a few hundred people: buyers, planners, safety managers, and tradespeople deciding where to work next. Reach is the wrong measure.
  • LinkedIn is where a vendor gets checked. Facebook is where welders, operators, and helpers hear who is hiring. Most Geismar companies need both, for different reasons.
  • A hiring post with the real pay range, shift, and site requirements gets shared between workers. A vague one gets ignored.

What keeps the phone quiet

Why Geismar vendors look smaller online than they are.

Forty people on site, zero online

The company has run crews inside the fence for a decade, and its public footprint is a registration listing. A new buyer with no history with you has nothing to go on.

Hiring by word of mouth only

When a turnaround needs twenty more hands, the call goes out through foremen’s phones. It works until a competitor posts the same job publicly and fills it first.

Nothing can be photographed, so nothing is posted

Plant rules forbid cameras past the gate, and the company concludes it has no content. The yard, the shop, the trucks, the training room, and the people are all fair game.

“Clint has been a TRUE BLESSING!!! He has tirelessly achieved what others could not! Looking forward to continuing to work together from here on out. If you need any website assistance / development / maintenance...do not hesitate to give him a call - you will not be disappointed!!!”

What you get

Built to book the job.

A LinkedIn company page that passes vetting

Services by line, service area, years operating, safety program summary, and key contacts, with leadership profiles linked and consistent.

Hiring graphics and posts

We designed the 2018 recruitment flyer for the Baton Rouge Fire Department. Recruiting posts for a Geismar contractor follow the same rule: say who you want, what it pays, and how to apply. See the recruitment flyer

Content that respects the gate

A written list of what may and may not be shown, agreed with your safety lead, then photo days at your own shop and yard so nothing is ever taken inside a client’s facility.

Milestones worth announcing

Safety anniversaries, new equipment, certifications earned, and promotions, each posted with a photograph and the names of the people involved.

A site that backs up the page

Buyers click through. Trash Rangers, a hauler we work with, has a service page for each parish, so someone looking for industrial dumpster rentals in Ascension Parish lands in the right place. Geismar web design

  • “Shoutout to our IT wizard for fixing our work email and saving us all from a slow descent into chaos, carrier pigeons, and “did you get my message?” debates. He calmly swooped in, pushed some mysterious buttons only he understands, and—like magic—emails started working again. No dramatic sighs. No eye-rolling (at least not where we could see it). Just quiet competence and the subtle confidence of someone who knows we would’ve absolutely made it worse if we tried ourselves. Emails are flowing. Productivity is restored. Sanity levels have stabilized.”

  • “I cannot RAVE and PRAISE enough about who Clint is as a person AND the amount of talent he holds. Genuine, funny, relaxed, and could not have asked for a better graphic designer to work with. When everyone else didn’t meet the expectations I needed for a really personal project, Clint exceeded above and beyond. THANK YOU to this man and the quality work he resulted me with. I will FOREVER use him in any and all design projects going forward!!!”

  • ““BlakSheep Creative has completely changed how customers find my business.” Before working with Clint and the team, we were basically invisible online. Now we rank at the top of Google for all our core services — brush clearing, forestry mulching, land development — you name it. The leads we get are not just more frequent, they’re better quality. They took the time to understand our business, explained what they were doing in plain English, and followed through with results that speak for themselves. Couldn’t be happier with the service and support. If you own a service business in Livingston Parish and want to grow, this is the crew to call. – Adam Hodges Owner, Hodges Land Management Livingston, Louisiana”

The short answer

Geismar is an industrial community on the Mississippi in Ascension Parish, reached from I-10 by LA 30, with chemical plants along the river and the contractors, fabricators, staffing firms, and rental yards that serve them. Almost nobody here searches for social media marketing, and few Geismar companies sell to the public. What social media does in this corridor is narrower and more valuable: it lets a plant buyer confirm you are real, current, and safe, and it helps you hire. We run LinkedIn and Facebook for that purpose from Denham Springs.

Common questions about social media marketing in Geismar

Do you have a client in Geismar?
We do not. Our Ascension Parish experience is website and search work, including parish service pages for Trash Rangers, which serves industrial customers there. We have not managed social accounts for a plant contractor in Geismar, and you should weigh that. The recruiting and brand work we show is from Baton Rouge.
Our customers are six plants. Why would we need social media at all?
For two reasons. New people join those plants’ purchasing and maintenance teams every year and look vendors up. And the tradespeople you want to hire decide partly on what they can see of you. A current page costs little next to one lost bid or an unfilled crew.
We cannot take photos inside the plants. What do we post?
Everything outside the fence: your fabrication shop, trucks and equipment, toolbox talks at your own yard, training days, crew lunches, service awards, and new hires. We agree a written list with your safety lead before the first photo, and nothing showing a client’s site, badge, or paperwork is ever published.
Does LinkedIn advertising make sense for a Geismar vendor?
Sometimes. LinkedIn can target job titles at named companies, which is useful when you have a new service line to introduce. It is expensive per click, so we only suggest it for a specific goal. Hiring ads usually perform better on Facebook, where tradespeople spend their time.
How do you measure results when there are so few buyers?
By what matters to you: applications received for a posted job, bid invitations from companies you had not worked with, and which firms’ employees viewed the page. LinkedIn reports viewers by company and role. We send that list quarterly, since monthly numbers are too small to mean anything.
