Digital Marketing

Hammond Digital Marketing for a Crossroads Town.

Each August a new class of students lands in Hammond with no mechanic, no dentist, and no favorite lunch spot. They choose from whatever a phone shows first, and most local businesses change nothing for them. We time your listing, posts, and ads to the semester and to the towns around campus.

  • Students find businesses on a phone, close to campus, and often on Instagram before Google. Households across the parish still start with search and reviews.
  • A crossroads brings out-of-town competitors. Companies from Baton Rouge and the north shore both list Hammond as a service area, so local proof matters.
  • Printing your starting prices is a marketing decision. Clean Slate Dumpsters shows them on its homepage, and customers can book online in a few steps.
  • August and January are when new residents choose their regular places. Marketing that starts in October has missed the window.

What keeps the phone quiet

Where Hammond marketing money goes missing.

One message for two audiences

The same post tries to speak to a nineteen-year-old renter and a homeowner in Independence. It lands with neither, and the page settles into talking to nobody in particular.

A radius drawn too small

Ads and the listing stop at the city line, though most of the work is fifteen miles out. Customers in Amite never learn you would have come.

Starting over every semester

No list, no saved audience, no review from last year’s seniors before they left town. Each fall the business meets the new class as a stranger.

“Clint and BlakSheep created a top quality website, quickly at an incredible value literally putting my little startup project on the map. I can’t thank the team enough!”

How it works

Fixed quote. Fixed timeline. Yours when it’s done.

  1. 01

    Split the customer list

Which sales come from students and which from households, by rough share. That sets how the budget divides.

  2. 02

    Set the radius

We draw the true service area on a map together and match the listing and ads to it.

  3. 03

    Build before the semester

Pages, offers, and ad creative are finished weeks ahead of move-in or the new year.

  4. 04

    Run, compare, repeat

Campus and parish numbers reviewed monthly, and the calendar reused and improved the next term.

  • “Shoutout to our IT wizard for fixing our work email and saving us all from a slow descent into chaos, carrier pigeons, and “did you get my message?” debates. He calmly swooped in, pushed some mysterious buttons only he understands, and—like magic—emails started working again. No dramatic sighs. No eye-rolling (at least not where we could see it). Just quiet competence and the subtle confidence of someone who knows we would’ve absolutely made it worse if we tried ourselves. Emails are flowing. Productivity is restored. Sanity levels have stabilized.”

  • “I cannot RAVE and PRAISE enough about who Clint is as a person AND the amount of talent he holds. Genuine, funny, relaxed, and could not have asked for a better graphic designer to work with. When everyone else didn’t meet the expectations I needed for a really personal project, Clint exceeded above and beyond. THANK YOU to this man and the quality work he resulted me with. I will FOREVER use him in any and all design projects going forward!!!”

    Megan TheriotGoogle review, 2026
  • ““BlakSheep Creative has completely changed how customers find my business.” Before working with Clint and the team, we were basically invisible online. Now we rank at the top of Google for all our core services — brush clearing, forestry mulching, land development — you name it. The leads we get are not just more frequent, they’re better quality. They took the time to understand our business, explained what they were doing in plain English, and followed through with results that speak for themselves. Couldn’t be happier with the service and support. If you own a service business in Livingston Parish and want to grow, this is the crew to call. – Adam Hodges Owner, Hodges Land Management Livingston, Louisiana”

The short answer

Hammond sits where I-12 crosses I-55 in Tangipahoa Parish and is home to Southeastern Louisiana University, so it has two kinds of customer at once: students who turn over every year and households spread from Ponchatoula up to Amite and Independence. One message does not reach both. We plan marketing here around the school calendar for the first group and around a parish-wide service radius for the second, then run search, social, ads, and follow-up together. Our Hammond work includes sites for Clean Slate Dumpsters and Capital City Mechanical and AC. The office is in Denham Springs, about forty minutes west on I-12.

Common questions about digital marketing in Hammond

Which Hammond businesses have you worked with?
Clean Slate Dumpsters, a dumpster rental company serving Hammond and Southeast Louisiana, and Capital City Mechanical and AC, a Hammond-based HVAC and mechanical contractor. Both are website projects in our portfolio. Our published search results come from clients in other Louisiana towns, and we will show you those too.
Is it worth marketing to Southeastern students?
For food, auto repair, salons, storage, urgent care, and rentals, yes. For roofing or septic work, no. Students rent and leave. We ask what share of your sales they could realistically be, then size that part of the plan to match, sometimes at zero.
How far from Hammond should our ads reach?
As far as you will happily drive for an average job, and no farther. For most service companies that covers Ponchatoula, Amite, and Independence. Stretching toward Baton Rouge or Covington puts you against companies already established there and usually raises your cost per lead.
Do you have an office in Hammond?
No. We are in Denham Springs, roughly thirty-five miles west on I-12. We say that plainly because several firms advertising Hammond marketing are much farther away than that. We can sit down with you in person, and you can call (225) 505-3834 and reach someone who knows your account.
What does the full plan cost, and is there a contract?
The website-and-marketing plan is $500 a month for 12 months with the website build fee waived. It needs the full year because search work compounds slowly. Social management and ad management are month to month. Ad spend is paid to the platform and is yours to set.
Should we post on Instagram, Facebook, or both?
Follow the customer. Student-facing businesses usually need Instagram first. Household services across the parish still get more from Facebook and from Google reviews. Many Hammond businesses need both, with different posts on each, which is why we plan them as two audiences.
When should we start for the fall semester?
By June if you can. Pages need time to be indexed, ad accounts need a few weeks of history, and offers should be ready before move-in week. Starting in August still helps, but you will be building during the rush you meant to catch.
