Southern Delta Charters Website Launch
Client: Southern Delta Charters · Websites · 2026
A new website for Southern Delta Charters, Captain Kasye Bourn's inshore fishing charter in Venice, Louisiana, built from his own words and his own trip photos.

Southern Delta Charters is Captain Kasye Bourn’s inshore fishing charter service out of Venice, Louisiana, at the end of LA 23. He has run charters since 2012, fishing the marsh and the delta for redfish, speckled trout and flounder.
His old site was stuck inside a site builder he could no longer log into. The rebuild had one job: sound like Kasye, show his real trips, and answer what guests ask before they call.
His words, as he wrote them
Kasye’s own writing carries the site. We kept it as he wrote it instead of rewriting him into marketing copy:
- The welcome and About text from his old site.
- The prayer he says with every party before they leave the dock, from his own reply to our questions.
- His answers on trips, boats, kids and the best months, worked into the pages that cover them.

His photos, not stock
Every photo on the site comes from his own trips: his boat, the dock, the catches and the Venice sky. The gallery is grouped by species and by place, and each photo opens full size.

A page for every fish he targets
Redfish, speckled trout and flounder each get a page of their own. The facts are checked against the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, and his own tips sit beside them.

Answering the planning questions
Kasye recommends booking well ahead, a year out for large groups, and Venice sits at the end of the road. So the site answers the planning questions up front:
- A best time to fish page that leads with his answer, spring and fall, then a month by month look at what the fish are doing.
- A Plan Your Trip page covering the drive from New Orleans, about 80 miles down LA 23.
- An FAQ page marked up with FAQPage structured data.

Built for the phone, and for the long run
Call and Text buttons stay at the bottom of the screen on phones, so a guest can book a date in one tap. The site ships as a static build, so there is no plugin or builder login for Kasye to keep track of.
What we built
- A Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS site in his navy and copper, with his own logo.
- Twelve main pages: home, inshore charters, three species pages, best time to fish, what’s included, plan your trip, meet the captain, the photo gallery, FAQ and contact.
- LocalBusiness structured data, plus privacy, terms, accessibility and credits pages.
