What a Pest Control Website Costs, and What Actually Drives the Price

Pest control business owners reviewing local ranking reports and call logs while planning a website budget

Quick answer

A pest control website is priced mostly by page count, and page count comes from the number of pests treated multiplied by the towns served, plus the standard pages every business needs. A one-town operator treating four pests needs roughly a dozen pages; a nine-town company treating twelve pests may need over a hundred. BlakSheep Creative quotes project builds before work starts and runs monthly plans at $250 and $500 with a $498 setup fee.

Key takeaways

  • Page count drives the price far more than design does, and page count is roughly pests multiplied by towns plus standard pages.
  • Colors, fonts, and layout are decisions, not costs; an agency charging for three design rounds is billing its process, not your website.
  • A quote of a few hundred dollars almost always assumes you supply every word and every image.
  • BlakSheep Creative's monthly plans are $250 and $500 a month with a $498 setup fee, no lump sum, no twelve-month contract, cancel any time.
  • The $500 tier adds off-page SEO, content marketing, asset creation, and PPC on top of the build.
  • If you cancel, you should take everything with you: domain, hosting, files, content, and customer data. Any other answer makes the low monthly figure a deposit on a hostage.
  • Cheap quotes usually leave out the content, service area pages, photography, redirects on a rebuild, and anything after launch.

A Denham Springs operator who treats termites, roaches, rodents, and mosquitoes across Livingston Parish and into Baton Rouge is looking at four pests and maybe six towns. That is the math that sets the price, not the color of the buttons, and it is why two Louisiana pest companies can get quotes that differ by thousands for what sounds like the same website.

How much should a pest control company pay for a website?

Most pest control websites are priced per project, and the number depends far more on page count than on design. A single-town operator treating four pests needs a fraction of what a three-branch company treating twelve pests needs. We quote every build before work starts, and we also run monthly plans at $250 and $500 with a $498 setup fee.

TLDR:

  • Page count drives price more than design does, and page count comes from pests times towns
  • We publish our monthly numbers: $250 and $500 a month, $498 to start
  • Project builds get a firm quote before any work begins, and it moves only if scope moves
  • The cheapest quote often excludes the content, the photos, and the service area pages
  • A monthly plan where you do not own the site is a rental, and leaving costs you everything
  • Booking integration and review feeds are the two add-ons most worth paying for

Ask five agencies what a pest control website costs and four of them will say it depends and try to book a call. It does depend. That is not a reason to keep the number secret.

We are in Denham Springs, we work with service businesses across Louisiana and well beyond it, and we publish our pricing. Here is the honest version.

Want the number for your specific build? Tell us how many pests you treat and how many towns you cover and we will quote it. No call required if you would rather not have one.

What actually drives the price

Design is the part everyone talks about and rarely the part that moves the number. Six things do.

WHAT MOVES THE NUMBER Ordered by how much they change the price Pests you want pages for Four pests or twelve. Each one is a real page, not a bullet. BIGGEST Towns you serve One town, or a service area page for each of nine. Booking and scheduling A form is cheap. Live scheduling tied to your software is not. Who writes the content The most common hidden line item in a cheap quote. Photography Real crew photos beat stock, and someone has to shoot them. Migrating an existing site Keeping rankings costs less than rebuilding them. SMALLEST

Notice what is not on that list. Colors, fonts and layout are decisions, not costs. An agency quoting you more because they want to do three design rounds is charging you for their process, not your website.

The two that catch people out are content and photography. A quote of a few hundred dollars almost always assumes you are supplying every word and every image. If you have not written service pages for termites, roaches, rodents and mosquitoes, you are not buying a finished site. You are buying an empty frame.

Page count is the real math

Here is the arithmetic nobody shows you.

Your page count is roughly your pests multiplied by your towns, plus the standard pages every business needs. A one-town operator treating four pests is looking at something in the region of a dozen pages. A company covering nine towns and treating twelve pests is looking at over a hundred if they want a page for each combination.

That is the whole reason quotes vary so widely for what sounds like the same thing. It is also why the first question we ask is never about design. Our post on why one page per pest beats one lumped services page covers why that structure matters in the first place.

The two ways to pay for it

Per project. You get a firm number before any work starts, and it moves only if the scope moves. You own everything the day it launches. This is how most of our builds run.

Monthly. Two plans, $250 and $500 a month, with a $498 setup fee to start. No lump sum, no twelve-month contract, cancel any time. The $500 tier adds off-page SEO, content marketing, asset creation and PPC on top of the build. Full detail is on our monthly website plans page.

People assume the setup fee is padding. It is not, and it exists for two reasons worth stating plainly. It is skin in the game on both sides, and projects that start with it get finished. And off-page work starts the week you sign rather than on launch day, so the site is not beginning from zero the day it goes live.

TWO WAYS TO PAY Per project Firm quote before work starts Moves only if scope moves You own it on launch day Paid once Quoted per build Monthly $498 setup to start No twelve month contract Cancel any time Off-page work starts week one $250 / mo $500 / mo

The clause that matters more than the price

There is a version of the monthly model that is genuinely bad for you, and it is common enough in this industry that you should check for it before you sign anything.

Some agencies keep the site. You pay every month, and if you leave you walk away with nothing. No files, no content, no domain in some cases. The monthly number looks reasonable right up to the day you want to move, and then the real price becomes clear.

Ask one question of anyone quoting you, including us: if I cancel, what do I take with me? The answer should be everything. Domain, hosting, files, content, customer data. If the answer is anything else, the low monthly figure is not a discount, it is a deposit on a hostage.

That is our position and it is in writing on every build we do.

Not sure what your current site is worth or what you actually own? We will look at it and tell you, at no charge. It takes about ten minutes and you are not obligated to do anything with the answer.

What a cheap quote usually leaves out

A low number is not automatically a bad deal. It is a bad deal when it is low because things were removed quietly. The usual omissions:

  • The words. You write every service page, or the site launches with placeholder text that never gets replaced.
  • Service area pages. You get one contact page with a map instead of a page per town.
  • Photography. Stock images of models in clean white polos, which work against you in this trade specifically.
  • Redirects on a rebuild. Old URLs die, and the rankings you had die with them.
  • Anything after launch. No updates, no hosting, no answering the phone in six months.

None of these are scams on their own. They become one when they are not mentioned until after you have paid.

Common questions about pest control website pricing

These come up on nearly every quote call, usually in this order.

Why do quotes for the same thing vary so much?

Because they are almost never the same thing. One quote covers twelve pages with you writing the content, another covers sixty with the content written for you. Compare page count and who writes the words before you compare price.

Is a template or AI builder cheaper?

Upfront, yes. The limit shows up when you need a page per pest and a page per town, all linked properly. That structure is what decides which searches you can appear for, and it is the part a builder does not do for you.

Do I have to pay it all at once?

No. Project builds can be staged, and the monthly plans exist for exactly this reason. $250 or $500 a month with $498 to start, cancel any time.

What ongoing costs should I budget for?

Hosting and a domain at minimum. Most operators also want somebody handling updates and security. If you are running ads or chasing rankings, that is a separate ongoing line and should be quoted separately rather than blended into a website price.

Will a new site pay for itself?

That depends on where your leads come from now. If you already get traffic and few calls, the site is the bottleneck and a rebuild usually pays back quickly. If nobody is finding you at all, a new site alone will not fix it. We cover that difference in why pest control sites get clicks but no calls.

Tell us the two numbers and we will tell you the third. How many pests you treat, how many towns you cover, and we will quote the build. No call needed unless you want one.

Common questions about pest control

What is the biggest factor in the cost of a pest control website?
Page count. It is roughly the pests you treat multiplied by the towns you serve, plus the standard pages every business needs. A single-town operator with four pests needs a dozen or so pages. A three-branch company with twelve pests needs many times that, and the price follows.
What does the $498 setup fee cover on a monthly plan?
It is not padding. It exists for two reasons: it puts skin in the game on both sides so projects that start actually get finished, and it lets off-page work begin the week you sign rather than on launch day, so the site is not starting from zero when it goes live.
What is the difference between the $250 and $500 monthly plans?
Both cover the build with no lump sum, no twelve-month contract, and the option to cancel any time. The $500 tier adds off-page SEO, content marketing, asset creation, and PPC on top of the website itself, for companies that want the marketing handled alongside the build.
What should I ask before signing a monthly website plan?
One question: if I cancel, what do I take with me? The answer should be everything, meaning the domain, hosting, files, content, and customer data. Some agencies keep the site, and the reasonable monthly number turns into the real price the day you try to leave.
Why does content cost extra on a pest control website?
Because somebody has to write service pages for termites, roaches, rodents, and mosquitoes, and a low quote assumes that somebody is you. If those pages are not written, you are buying an empty frame, and it launches with placeholder text that never gets replaced.
Are booking integration and review feeds worth paying for?
Yes. They are the two add-ons most worth the money. Booking lets a customer schedule at ten at night when the roaches show up, and a review feed puts recent proof on the pages where the decision is made instead of on a testimonials page nobody visits.
