Second Life Cleanouts Junk Removal Website Launch

Client: Second Life Cleanouts · web development · 2026

A junk removal website for Second Life Cleanouts in Denham Springs, LA, built around where every item goes: donated, repaired by a vetted thrift store, or hauled off.

Second Life Cleanouts website shown on desktop, laptop, tablet and phone

Second Life Cleanouts is a brand-new junk removal and cleanout company in Denham Springs, Louisiana, owned and run by Jordan Mercier. Most junk removal websites lead with a truck and a phone number. Jordan's business is different after the load leaves the house: anything still usable goes to a local thrift store instead of the landfill.

So the site is organized around the question customers actually have about a cleanout. Where do my things go?

The homepage answers it in three outcomes

Every load is sorted by hand, and the homepage shows where things end up after the job:

  • Donated to a local thrift store, where solid furniture and working appliances are priced for a new family.
  • Sent to a vetted thrift store that repairs a piece before resale. Jordan does not repair anything himself.
  • Hauled off and disposed of properly when an item is broken, moldy or unsafe.

A donation page that sets expectations

The donation page covers what thrift stores usually accept, what they turn down, and the four places every item can land: kept, donated, sent to a repair store, or disposed of. It also shows a sample of the Facebook post Jordan shares after each donation, so customers know what proof to look for.

Honest about being new

A company in its first year has no reviews and no track record to lean on, so the site does not borrow either. There are no testimonials, no years-in-business claims and no inflated numbers. Trust comes from specifics instead:

  • The owner on every job, named on the About page.
  • Estimates from photos: text a few pictures, get a price range by load volume, with the final price confirmed in person.
  • Pages for each service and for the two towns most customers search from, Denham Springs and Baton Rouge.

What we built

  • A custom Astro and Tailwind CSS site, designed from the navy, sage and cream in Jordan's logo.
  • Four service pages: debris removal, furniture and appliance removal, property cleanouts and commercial cleanouts.
  • City pages for Denham Springs and Baton Rouge, a donation page, a pricing and FAQ page, and an About page.
  • Cleanout guides on the blog, including an estate cleanout checklist and where to donate furniture in Baton Rouge.
