How we built an outdoor services website for a brand with a real mascot

The Backyard Beast is an outdoor services company in Walker, Louisiana, working across Livingston Parish and the communities around Baton Rouge. Lawn care, pressure washing, soft washing, yard cleanups, trash can cleaning, driveway and patio work. The kind of company that gets hired because a homeowner drove past a job and liked what they saw.

They arrived with something most service businesses do not have: a mascot with genuine personality. A gorilla in safety glasses running a pressure washer. The temptation with a brand that loud is to sand it down into something corporate and safe. We did the opposite and built the site to match it.

A design system built around one loud idea

Heavy condensed display type, a near black canvas, and a single aggressive green doing all of the work. Flat offset shadows instead of soft glows, so every card lands with weight. The mascot is not tucked into a corner of the footer. It anchors the homepage.

The homepage leads with the promise, backyard jobs and beast mode results, then puts every service directly underneath it. A homeowner who lands from a search for one job sees the other five in the same scroll.

Reassurance is the part most service sites skip

Handing a stranger industrial equipment and access to your property is a decision people weigh. So the site answers it directly, with a section on trained crews, respect for the landscaping, no hidden fees, and a satisfaction guarantee sitting right where the doubt shows up.

The gallery does most of the selling. Before and after on real Louisiana properties, filterable by job type, because in this trade the results are the whole argument. The reviews page puts the proof up front rather than burying it, and the quote form is short enough to actually finish on a phone standing in the driveway.

Built for speed, and for Livingston Parish

The site ships as a static build, so pages arrive fast on a phone with one bar of signal in a subdivision. Motion is handled with scroll-triggered animation that respects a reduced motion preference. Every page carries its own title, description and canonical, with schema markup and local SEO aimed at Walker, Denham Springs, Livingston, Watson, Springfield, Port Vincent and the Baton Rouge side of the parish.

Ten pages in total, including the gallery, reviews, a full service breakdown, and the legal and sitemap pages a real business needs.

Built on our more affordable tier

This one is worth calling out for what it cost. The Backyard Beast is one of our newer, more affordable website builds, and nothing about the process was trimmed to get there. The same research into how homeowners actually choose an outdoor services company, the same attention to structure and speed, the same schema and local search work. A smaller budget changes the scope of a build. It does not change the standard we hold it to.

Run a pressure washing or soft washing company and want a site that brings in the right jobs? That is exactly what we build, and we do the same for lawn care and landscaping companies. See our website design for softwashing and pressure washing companies, or book a free discovery call.
