This New Year’s Eve Flyer was a perfect design for Josh Walters and Kickin’ Country to publicize their show. After masking out the background of an image of Josh, we then placed the image on top of some a high definition image of the interior of a nightclub.
Typography is all about delivering art and information in a beautiful medium. Designing typographic flyers is no easy task, and arranging and modifying each individual component is a skilled task.
In December 2018, Josh Walters (a.k.a. Dr. Love,) had a gig at the Club Mezazz, located inside the Paragon Casino. For this very special casino music event, he had us create a simple and nostalgic flyer.
When Josh approached us about creating a gig poster for his upcoming show at a Coffee shop, we immediately envisioned what it should look like. This coffee-themed flyer popped into our imagination, and we fleshed it out.
Because Josh is such a handsome lad, he wanted us to create a flyer for one of his acoustic shows, and have it lean towards the minimalist side. We simply took a high definition headshot that he sent, placed a minimalist vector of an acoustic guitar sound hole and fret board, and put the event details on the bottom.
This 100-proof whiskey flyer (see what we did there,) was a perfect creation for Josh, or any country music artist. Country Music is synonymous with Whiskey right? (There are over 74 songs written about whiskey.)
Levee Landing Bar is located in Port Barre, Louisiana. In all honesty, typically their event flyers for shows that they host are garbage. They are created by shade-tree designers, or even worse, online flyer generators.
For this Gumbo Cookoff graphic, we made a roux from red and gold colors, threw in a lot of event information, and stirred the pot until we came up with a spicy graphic to serve the gumbo cookoff well.
This acoustic music night flyer was created for Country Artist Josh Walters. Josh was playing a special acoustic show at the Inglewood Harvest Barn Market. This was a special show for Josh because there was to be a special appearance by P. Allen Smith, who hosts shows on both HG TV and PBS.
This flyer was created for an acoustic benefit concert to help raise money for funeral expenses. When brainstorming about the flyer, we came up with the idea to give this particular graphic an outlaw country feel. This idea fit in perfectly with Josh! If you ever get to hear his music, you’ll see just why!
